Photo Gallery: Ordination Anniversary of Msgr. Andrew Cassin, June 2014
On June 6, 2014, Monsignor Andrew Cassin, who assists with the celebration of Mass and other duties at St. Francis, celebrated the sixtieth anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood. On June 28 the parish gathered for a major public observance of this event. Barry Knestout, formerly a parishioner in Msgr. Cassin's Maryland parish, later a parochial vicar serving with the monsignor, and now Auxiliary Bishop of Washington, D.C., celebrated the Mass and spoke warmly of monsignor's lengthy service as a priest. Also present was Father John Abe, who, when he was pastor of St. Francis in Staunton, invited Monsignor Cassin to take on his current role in the parish. Click on the image below to start.
